Late autumn is one of the busiest times of the year at Messe Frankfurt. Between the end of October and the end of November 2026, the fairground hosts consumer shows, a contemporary art fair, a dental trade show and two of Europe’s most important B2B events: formnext and Fi Europe. Hotels fill up, taxi queues grow at the airport and the roads around the Messe get busy on opening mornings.
This guide lists the main fairs at Messe Frankfurt in autumn 2026, explains who attends them and shows how to plan your trip from Frankfurt Airport to the fairground and your hotel – without stress.

Who travels to these fairs – and why timing matters
Consumer fairs: weekends and families
Marathonmall, Discovery Art Fair and Stuzubi attract mostly private visitors. Many arrive by train or car, but international runners and art buyers often fly into Frankfurt Airport (FRA) on Thursday or Friday. Weekend arrivals mean busy terminals and long taxi queues in the evening.
B2B fairs: exhibitors, buyers and executives
formnext and Fi Europe bring thousands of international professionals to Frankfurt in the same week. Exhibitors and stand builders arrive two or three days early – Fi Europe build-up already starts on 15 November. Trade visitors usually land the evening before or early on the first fair day. During this week, a reliable, pre-booked transfer is the easiest way to reach the hall on time.
Opening hours to plan around: Fi Europe runs from 10:00 to 18:00 on 17 and 18 November and from 10:00 to 16:00 on 19 November. Discovery Art Fair opens from 11:00 to 20:00 on Friday and Saturday and from 11:00 to 18:00 on Sunday.
From Frankfurt Airport to Messe Frankfurt
Messe Frankfurt (Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1) is only about 12 km from Frankfurt Airport. By car, the drive usually takes 15–25 minutes, depending on traffic. On opening mornings of big fairs, traffic around the Messe and the city ring roads increases noticeably, so we plan extra time.
- Pickup at Terminal 1 or Terminal 3: your chauffeur tracks your flight and waits in the arrival hall with a name sign.
- Direct to the right entrance: we drop you at the fairground entrance closest to your hall.
- Luggage and samples: exhibitors with trolleys, display material or sample cases can book a Mercedes V-Class or Vito with plenty of space.
- Fixed price: you see the price before booking – no taximeter and no surcharge for traffic jams.
Hotel transfers during fair weeks
Hotels close to the fairground are often fully booked during formnext and Fi Europe, so many visitors stay in the city centre, in Offenbach, Eschborn or even Wiesbaden. FlyRide connects all of them:
- Airport → hotel on arrival, hotel → Messe every morning, Messe → restaurant or hotel in the evening.
- Popular hotels: Frankfurt Marriott Hotel next to the Messe, The Westin Grand Frankfurt in the city centre, and many more on our cities & hotels page.
- Staying outside Frankfurt? See our Wiesbaden airport transfer.
Chauffeur service for exhibitors and company groups
For companies attending formnext or Fi Europe, we organise complete transport plans: several vehicles for airport arrivals, daily shuttles between hotel and Messe, and evening rides to customer dinners. One contact person, one invoice, and drivers who know the fairground.
Tips for a smooth fair trip
- Book early: during big fairs, vehicles in Frankfurt are in high demand.
- Share your flight number: we adjust the pickup if your flight is early or late.
- Plan the return: on the last fair day, many visitors leave at the same time. A pre-booked pickup avoids taxi queues at the Messe.
- Keep your hall number ready: it helps us choose the best drop-off point.
