From Canadian air base to Baden-Airpark: the history
For decades the site was a military airfield of the Canadian Forces in Germany, who were stationed here during the Cold War. After they withdrew in the early 1990s, the area was converted into a business and airport park.
Civil scheduled and charter flights have operated since the late 1990s. Baden-Airpark has become the second-largest airport in Baden-Württemberg, connecting the Karlsruhe, Baden-Baden and Ortenau region with destinations across Europe.
